Year 5 RE church visit

This week, year 5 took their RE learning outside the classroom walls and took the short walk to Good Shepherd Church to learn a little bit more about the Christmas Story and why it is such an important story to Christians. During the visit, we had the opportunity to learn a lot more about the Advent festival and important dates leading up to Christmas. Some of us even tried on clothes worn by the vicar/father and we learnt what all the different colours represented. We asked lots of enquiring questions and listened well to the story of Jesus' birth.  This LOtC experience will help us greatly when we get back to class.
