School Fund
What is School Fund?
School Fund is a non-compulsory contribution from parents, carers that helps add additional funds for school based activities.
Why do we need School Fund?
Unfortunately, funding obtained by schools is not always enough to cover the cost of activities that take place on and off site. School fund contributions help the school add additional funds to these activities to ensure they are able to take place where parents/carers are unable to contribute to the initial cost of the activity.
Without additional funding support, some activities are unable to go ahead.
Do I have to pay School Fund?
School fund is not a compulsory payment and parents/carers are not obliged to pay. We understand that many families are unable to offer a donation outside of their own financial priorities and do not expect all families to make a contribution.
How much is School Fund?
We ask for a contribution of £15.00 per school year or £5.00 per term to be paid via school gateway app.
There is also an option available for parents/carers to make additional contributions of any amount throughout the school year.
What has school fund been used for to date?
Over the last year, school fund has been used to top up funding requested from parents/carers for school trips and visits from external providers. The funding has helped to ensure that the activities can go ahead and that all children are able to participate in activities that support their learning.
We will also be using the fund to help support families with the cost of our residential trips, to hold community events and activities that support the mental health and wellbeing of our pupils.
If you have any questions regarding the School Fund contribution, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
