SATS Prep

Year 6 SATs (Statutory Assessment Tests) take place in May and are national tests used to assess children’s understanding of the key areas of the primary curriculum. The tests cover English reading, grammar, punctuation and spelling (SPaG), and mathematics. They help teachers measure progress and identify strengths and areas for development as children prepare for the transition to secondary school. SATs are one part of a wider picture, and teacher assessments and day-to-day work remain equally important in understanding each child’s achievements.
