School History
Lyng Primary School is a co-educational community school for pupils aged 3 to 11 years. The school was formed in January 1981 by the amalgamation of Lyttleton Hall Infant School and Lyng Junior School. A Nursery unit was opened in October 1990. Education after the age of 11 years is provided by the local High Schools. It is the present policy of the Sandwell Education Authority to admit Sandwell children at or near the beginning of the school year in which they have their fifth birthday. Parents and prospective parents wishing to visit the school are invited to contact the Headteacher or the Business Manager.
