Lyng Blossoms 2 Year Old Provision

Here at Lyng Primary School we believe in Early Years Education for children and this sets the stage for a firm Foundation for Education in the the years to come.

SNACKS

Drinks and snacks will be provided mid- session as we regard this as an important part of the day where children learn social skills and independence. If your child has any allergy please let the Nursery Staff know.

 

BEHAVIOUR

We believe in a positive approach to behaviour in all circumstances. This will be managed in an appropriate manner with regards to the child’s stage of development and needs. The Nursery Team will encourage and praise positive actions and attitudes to ensure the children understand that we value and respect each other. Our ethos is provide a safe and caring environment. Staff will always treat your child with respect.

 

ILLNESS

We all know that small children can develop symptoms quite quickly and if your child is unwell during the session with us, we will contact you immediately to inform you. It is imperative that we have up to date contact telephone numbers for parents and other contacts. We have several First Aid persons on site.

Please telephone school to inform us of any absence due to illness.

 

MEDICINES

Any medicine that has not been prescribed by a doctor will not be administered. You are required to complete a form for the administration of the medicine. No eye or ear drops will be administered. Asthma medication may be kept in the Nursery and administered when required.

 

SAFEGUARDING

Here at Lyng Primary we believe that every child has a right to a safe, secure, educational environment where they will learn to grow and flourish into mature and well behaved adults.

Lyng fully recognises its responsibilities for safeguarding children and operates a policy which applies to all staff, governors and volunteers working in school.

We have a designated Safeguarding Officer and a Deputy.
