Provision for Pupils with Special Needs
There is an Inclusion Team responsible for supporting children with additional needs. There are several members of staff who provide further provision for pupils with special educational needs. Such pupils are provided with a specific programme of study, which is undertaken, both in withdrawal groups, setting by ability and work continued in the classroom.
Pupils with an identified special need or disability will have an Individual Provision Map which indicates the additional provision they are receiving through interventions and/or 1:1 support. This will be monitored and reviewed termly. They will be identified on the school’s Special Educational Needs Register, which is maintained by the Inclusion Team. Parents will be informed if their child is included in the list. The school’s Special Educational Needs Policy is revised to take into account the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice and is available for inspection at the School Office or from the Inclusion Manager.
